ROUNDUP: King leads Shadow Ridge boys to tri-meet win

Adrian King won three events Thursday to lead Shadow Ridge’s boys track team past visiting Spring Valley and Spring Mountain.

King crossed first in the 110 hurdles with a time of 17.2 seconds and posted a mark of 21 feet, 4 inches to take the long jump. He cleared 5-8 in the high jump, tying with teammate Terell Bowden and Maacolm Robinson of Spring Valley.

Shadow Ridge finished with 95.66 points to top Spring Valley (56.83) and Spring Mountain (30.5).

Ross, Watts ignite Trailblazers in win over Palo Verde
At Palo Verde, Victor Ross and Tyler Watts each placed first in a pair of events to vault the Trailblazers over Palo Verde 78½-62½.

Ross won the 110 hurdles (19.1) and 300 hurdles (46.4) and Watts tied for first in the high jump (6-0) and won the long jump (20-5½).

Jarod Swafford finished first in the shot put (41-1¼) and discus (131-9) for the Panthers. 

Centennial tops Bonanza
At Bonanza, Nicholas Brillant, Deontae Gilkey and Alexandro Salacies each won one event and placed second in another to lead Centennial to a 124-62 win over the Bengals.

Brillant won the discus (131-2) and was second in the shot put, Gilkey won the long jump (18-10) and placed second in the triple jump, and Salacies won the 300 hurdles (44.3) and was second in the 110 hurdles.

Bonanza’s Jayveon Taylor won the 100 (10.9) and 200 (21.9).

Pumphrey, Pioneers top Skyhawks
At Canyon Springs, Donnel Pumphrey won the 100 and 200, and the Pioneers won three of four relays en route to an 81-42 win over Silverado.

Lane, Longhorns top Cimarron
At Legacy, Nieamiah Lane won the 200 (22.9) and 300 hurdles (44.8) as the Longhorns beat Cimarron-Memorial, 80½-42½.
