ROUNDUP: Williamson wins three events to lead Dragons over Foothill boys

Aaron Williamson won three events, and the Del Sol boys track team edged visiting Foothill 75-56 on Thursday.

Williamson crossed the line in 23.6 seconds to win the 200-meter dash and also captured the long jump (19 feet, 10 inches) and triple jump (40-5).

Foothill’s Dillon Weasa won the shot put with a mark of 43-10 and threw 125-6 to take the discus.

Coronado edges Patriots
At Liberty, the Cougars used their depth to grab a 76-70 win over the Patriots.

Liberty’s Martin Ponce won the 1,600 in 4:52.9 and the 3,200 in 10:47.9.

Mack, Gators top Vikings
At Valley, Ian Mack won the 200 (22.7), was second in the 100 and ran on the winning 400 relay team to help  Green Valley to a 95-51 win over the Vikings.

Valley’s Kennedy Williams was first in the 100 (10.9) and high jump (6-4).

Walker wins two events to vault Canyon Springs over Rams 
At Rancho, Demarcus Walker finished first in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.5 seconds and also won the 300 hurdles (46.3) to pace the Pioneers to an 81-63 victory over Rancho. 

Naol Mahamud won the 800 (2:01.1) and the 1,600 (4:41.6) for Rancho.  

Basic rolls past Sundevils 
At Basic, Elijah Sharif won the 100 (11.2) and tied for first in the high jump (5-8) to push the Wolves past Eldorado, 96-46.

Alex Archibeque also took two events, finishing first in the shot put (40-8) and discus (100-6) for Basic.

Marvin Williams tied for first in the high jump (5-8) and won the long jump (19-11) and triple jump (40-1) for the Sundevils.
