GIRLS TRACK: Aldred wins three events to lift Arbor View

Madison Aldred won three individual events Tuesday to lead Arbor View’s girls track team to victory in a three-team meet at Bonanza.

Aldred won the 100-meter dash in 12.2 seconds, the 200 in 25.5 and the 400 in 59.7.

The Aggies’ Kaitlin Gibb won the 100 hurdles in 15.2 and finished first in the pole vault by clearing 10 feet.

Arbor View had 135 points. Bonanza was second with 30, followed by Calvary Chapel with 21.

Foothill wins three-team meet

At Valley, Elizabeth Richter won the 1,600 (5:46.5) and finished third in the 3,200 to help Foothill win a three-team meet.

Makenzie Flynn won the 3,200 and was third in the 1,600 for the Falcons, who had 70 points. Valley scored 62, and Eldorado was third with 34.

Valley’s Esmerelda Tenorio won the 100 (12.86) and 400 (60.85). The Vikings’ Kayla Steiner won the 100 hurdles (17.82) and 300 hurdles (52.13), and teammate Eimainei Thomas-Palmer won the long jump (15-9½) and triple jump (37-5).

Eldorado’s Katherine Hernandez won the shot put (36-6½) and discus (93-3).

Gators defeat Basic

At Basic, Charleen Jordan and Sara Braverman each won two individual events to help Green Valley to a 106-30 victory over the Wolves.

Jordan won the 200 in 26.06 and the 100 hurdles in 14.42.

Braverman took both the 800 (2:39.25) and 1,600 (5:46.75).

Mojave, Sunrise Mountain tie

At Mojave, the Rattlers and Sunrise Mountain each finished with 77 points to tie for first in a four-team meet.

Nina Carpenter won the high jump (5-1) and long jump (15-1), placed second in the triple jump and third in the 200 to lead the Miners.

Mojave’s Raven Williams was first in the 400 (1:01.0), tied for first in the 100 (12.4) and placed second in the 200.

Meghan McDermott won the 100 hurdles (16.2) and triple jump (33-3) for Pahrump Valley, which was third with 56 points

Angela Hammond tied Williams for first in the 100 (12.4) and won the 200 (25.1) to lead Cheyenne, which had 46 points.

Rancho edges Canyon Springs

At Canyon Springs, Rancho won three of four relays and edged the Pioneers, 75-70.

Canyon Springs’ Iyani Hayden won the 100 hurdles (15.7) and triple jump (34-10½).
