ROUNDUP: Argabright, Hamrick power Trojan girls to win
Naomi Argabright and Megan Hamrick won two events apiece to lift Pahrump Valley’s girls track team to victory in a three-team meet at Bishop Gorman on Thursday.
Pahrump Valley won with 119 points, followed by Gorman (48) and Western (12).
Argabright won the 100-meter hurdles in 17.8 seconds and the 300 hurdles in 52.3.
Hamrick took the shot put with a heave of 33 feet, 3½ inches, and the discus with a toss of 98-0¾.
Gorman’s Taylor Stueve won the 800 in 2:28.8 and the 3,200 in 12:28.9.
Nikodemus leads Crusaders to win
At Palo Verde, Cayla Nikodemus won the 100 in 12.4, the high jump at 4-10 and the long jump at 15-8½ to fuel Faith Lutheran to the win in a three-team meet.
The Crusaders won with 99 points, ahead of Palo Verde (66) and Lincoln County (15).
Palo Verde’s Marissa Suan won the 800 in 2:32.7 and the 1,600 in 5:27.7.
Lincoln County’s Marisa Phillips took the shot put at 31-0 and the discus at 93-4.
Wolves win tri-meet
At Basic, Iris Munguia won the 800 (2:34.43) and ran on the winning 3,200 relay team to lead the Wolves to a win with 89½ points.
Boulder City was second with 72, and Del Sol scored 12½.
Boulder City’s Jessica Tobler won the 1,600 (5:45.89) and 3,200 (12:27.9), and Mallory Bird took the high jump (4-2) and triple jump (28-2½) for the Eagles.
Warwin, Bengals earn victory
At Desert Oasis, Louisa Warwin won three events to power Bonanza to victory in a three-team meet.
Warwin won the 100 in 12.9 seconds, the 200 in 27.1 and the long jump with 15 feet, 10½ inches.
Bree Hammel won the high jump (4-10) and triple jump (36-5½) for the Bengals, who finished first with 87 points. Desert Oasis was second with 80, and Calvary Chapel had 19.
Brooke Locey won the 1,600 (5:33.1) and 3,200 (12:09.4) for the Diamondbacks.
