ROUNDUP: Mathews, Bond pace Silverado girls in tri-meet win

Aliyah Mathews and Diamond Bond won two events apiece to lead Silverado’s girls track and field team to victory in a three-team meet Tuesday at Liberty.

Mathews won the 100-meter dash in 12.74 seconds and the 200 in 27.28, and Bond took the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 10¾ inches, and the triple jump with a mark of 34-2¼.

Silverado won with 67 points, followed by Liberty (60) and Green Valley (56).

Liberty’s Ashlie Blake took the shot put (45-9) and discus (133-4).

Trojans dominate three-team meet
At Bonanza, four athletes won two events each to lead Pahrump Valley to 132½ points and an easy victory over Bonanza (45) and Agassi Prep (2½).

Pahrump Valley’s Naomi Argabright won the 100 hurdles (17.1) and 300 hurdles (50.4), and Kaitlin Klem took the 100 (13.1) and 200 (26.6). Teammate Regan Van Engen won the long jump (15-11½) and triple jump (33-1½), and Megan Hamrick won the shot put (34-7½) and discus (92-6).

Bonanza’s Emily Adams took the 1,600 in 5:59.2 and the 3,200 in 13:14.1.

Vogel, Scull lead Crusaders
At Cheyenne, Renee Vogel and Dallie Scull each won two events to lead Faith Lutheran’s girls to victory in a three-team meet with Cheyenne and Moapa Valley.

The Crusaders finished with 91 points. Cheyenne (41) was second and Moapa Valley (35) third.

Vogel won the high jump (5-0) and long jump (14-5), and Scull won the 100 (12.9) and 200 (26.3) for Faith Lutheran.

Cheyenne’s Brittany Jackson placed first in the shot put (36-0) and discus (107-5).

Moore guides Sundevils by Cowboys
At Eldorado, Autumn Moore won the 100 (12.6) and 200 (27.4) and ran on the winning 400 and 800 relay teams to lead Eldorado to a 69-63 victory over Chaparral.

Chaparral’s Michelle Carrillo-Hellebrandt took the shot put (24-0½) and discus (65-0).

Dixon wins three events to lead Vikings
At Las Vegas, DaNiece Dixon won three events to lead Valley to victory in a four-team meet.

Dixon won the 100 hurdles (17.4), 300 hurdles (55.8) and triple jump (32-2½) for Valley, which finished with 95½ points. Las Vegas was second at 57½, Virgin Valley third at 23 and Beaver Dam (Ariz.) fourth with two points.

Kennedy Wharton won the 100 (12.7) and high jump (4-10) for Valley.
