ROUNDUP: Eldorado tops Mojave in boys volleyball
Corey Harris had 11 kills and three aces Tuesday as Eldorado’s boys volleyball team beat visiting Mojave, 14-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-18.
Tone Gatewood added nine kills, six digs and five aces for the Sundevils. Jordan Jefferson had eight kills and four aces, Trey Pictum had 22 assists, and Kaiden Shakespear had five kills.
James Noles served six aces for the Rattlers, and Marcus Strickland added three kills and three blocks.
Bonanza 3, Centennial 2 — At Bonanza, John Grady’s 10th kill of the match clinched the Bengals’ 25-17, 25-22, 13-25, 21-25, 15-13 win over the Bulldogs.
Dustin Tippitts had 38 assists, Andrew Whiting 12 kills and three aces, and Mike Hartmann totaled 20 digs for Bonanza.
Coronado 3, Palo Verde 0 — At Palo Verde, Hunter Chaney had 23 assists, and Eric Boman had 11 kills and seven digs to lead the Cougars to a 25-23, 26-24, 25-17 win over the Panthers.
Bryan Arana added nine kills for Coronado.
Shaun Carroll had seven kills and five digs to lead Palo Verde. Matt Lish added 21 assists for the Panthers.
Arbor View 3, Valley 0 — At Valley, Jeff Mannah had 10 digs and six aces to lead the Aggies to a 25-18, 25-15, 25-16 win over the Vikings.
Ray Lewis added eight kills for the Aggies.
Shadow Ridge 3, Bishop Gorman 0 — At Gorman, Jake Shea had 15 kills, and Ryan Nolan added 10 kills as the Mustangs beat the Gaels, 25-19, 25-15, 25-16.
Jeremy Makaiwi added 34 assists for Shadow Ridge.
Colton Guinn led Gorman with 14 kills, and Cameron Tom had 18 assists.
Sierra Vista 3, Silverado 1 — At Silverado, Zach Waldron dished out 31 assists and had three kills to lead the Mountain Lions to a 21-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-20 win over the Skyhawks.
Kohl Homeyer added 18 kills and eight blocks for Sierra Vista.
Preston Clipper had eight blocks and five kills for Silverado. Christian Espina added seven kills, and Justin Close had 16 assists.
Chaparral 3, Del Sol 0 — At Chaparral, Carlos Chandia had 15 assists and eight digs to help the Cowboys to a 25-23, 25-18, 25-19 victory over the Dragons.
Humberto Juarigui added 15 digs and DeAndre Marshall 14 blocks for Chaparral.
Canyon Springs 3, Legacy 0 — At Canyon Springs, R.J. Estevez had nine assists, and John Padilla had four kills as the Pioneers beat the Longhorns, 25-21, 25-14, 25-18.
Hector Bojado-Martinez led Legacy with 18 assists.
Cimarron-Memorial 3, Foothill 0 — At Foothill, Scott Beckwith had 14 kills and five digs to help the Spartans to a 27-25, 25-19, 25-18 win over the Falcons.
Matt Pimentel added five kills and seven digs, and Matt Mortenson had six kills and eight digs for the Spartans.
Cody Clay had 10 kills and seven digs to lead Foothill.
Liberty 3, Cheyenne 2 — At Liberty, Samson Toalei had 14 kills to lead the Patriots to a 22-25, 25-23, 25-22, 20-25, 15-6 victory over the Desert Shields.
Joe Babitz had 18 digs for Liberty.
Desert Pines 3, Tech 0 — At Desert Pines, Daniel Aguilar’s nine digs and three aces helped the Jaguars to a 25-19, 25-17, 25-15 win over Tech.
Alan Paganelli had 10 digs and Dominique Lawrence eight kills for Desert Pines.
Eddie Lopez served 11 aces for the Roadrunners, and Michael Johnson added six blocks.
Basic 3, Rancho 0 — At Basic, Mike Lunen had 27 assists and two blocks, and Jenson Lavallee tallied nine kills and four digs as the Wolves beat the Rams, 25-23, 25-21, 25-20.
Jordan Pils had eight kills and four blocks for Basic, and Austin Hafen added nine kills and two blocks.
Kevin Wadsworth had 21 assists and Antonio Boucher seven kills and six digs for Rancho.
