ROUNDUP: Las Vegas boys outlast Rancho

Evany Diaz had 31 assists, and Chris Kamphshoff contributed 12 kills and eight digs Wednesday to help Las Vegas’ boys volleyball team to a 25-16, 25-21, 21-25, 21-25, 15-9 win at Rancho.

Evan Kindard had 15 digs, and Blake Burgess added 10 kills for the Wildcats.

Aaron Robles paced the Rams with 34 assists, six digs and three aces, and teammate Aaron Virani had 13 kills and five digs. Andrew Dittrich added nine blocks and five kills, and Jef Rebibes had 12 kills for Rancho.

Durango 3, Spring Valley 2 — At Spring Valley, Pedro Abrego dished out 33 assists to help the Trailblazers to a 23-25, 25-23, 24-26, 25-23, 15-11 win over the Grizzlies.

Rontraye Rainey supplied 14 kills and five blocks, Michael Diggins had 10 kills, and Victor Garcia added nine digs for Durango, which got eight blocks from Davante Cooper.

James Nunez had 42 assists, and Jim Tran contributed 14 kills and seven digs for Spring Valley, which got 14 kills from Donald Keith.

Palo Verde 3, Arbor View 1 —
At Arbor View, Andrew Weston recorded 44 assists and four digs, and E.J. Vanderstelt had 12 digs and 11 kills to help the Panthers turn away the Aggies 25-21, 25-16, 22-25, 25-16.

Rich Ryerson added nine kills for Palo Verde.

Chris Heron had 38 assists, five blocks and three aces, and Darrell Swanson supplied 15 kills and two digs for Arbor View.

Green Valley 3, Canyon Springs 1 — At Canyon Springs, Jake Johnson had 24 kills, three aces and three digs, and Arvin Nitollama had 40 assists and four aces to guide the Gators to a 25-14, 25-20, 22-25, 25-5 win over the Pioneers.

Kenan Haywood had 12 kills, and Ethan Hunt chipped in four kills, four digs and six aces for Green Valley.

Immanuel Tufuga had eight kills, and Carl Esteban added 14 assists for Canyon Springs. Jose Piedra served four aces, and Jeremiah Correas had seven digs for Canyon Springs.

Valley 3, Silverado 1 — At Silverado, Jack Heavey had 15 kills and 11 digs, and Matt Ballaro supplied 13 kills and 12 digs as the Vikings posted a 25-21, 25-22, 20-25, 26-24 win over the Skyhawks.

Sean Carter had 35 assists, eight digs, three aces and three kills, and Lorenzo Capannolo added nine kills and nine digs for Valley.

Curtis Hadland had 20 kills and 12 digs, and Joey Sharp-Halpin contributed 12 kills and four blocks for Silverado, which got 22 assists and four kills from Shawn Steckel.

Shadow Ridge 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Jalen Makiawi had 30 assists and eight digs, and Nick Biami supplied six kills to help the Mustangs sweep the Mountain Lions, 25-12, 25-19, 25-14.

Tyler Hollings had five kills, and Clyde Balagtas added four kills for Sierra Vista.
