Shadow Ridge captures Las Vegas Invitational tournament
Shadow Ridge’s boys volleyball team went 8-0 on its home floor in just more than a 24-hour span to win the Las Vegas Invitational boys volleyball tournament.
The Mustangs downed three-time defending champion Beckman (California), 25-14, 13-25, 15-7 in the title match.
After winning three pool matches Friday and three more Saturday morning, the Mustangs topped rival Arbor View, 25-20, 25-19 in the semifinals.
Shadow Ridge lost only one set in its eight matches.
Beckman edged Centennial, 25-20, 22-25, 15-13 in the other semifinal to earn the title berth.
Foothill captured the Silver Bracket championship, downing Granite Bay (California), 25-22, 25-20 in the title match.
