VOLLEYBALL: Chow, Falcons outlast Las Vegas in five sets

Shilo Chow had 41 assists, eight digs, seven kills and five blocks Tuesday to help Foothill’s boys volleyball team outlast visiting Las Vegas, 22-25, 27-25, 22-25, 27-25, 15-13.

Eric Szukiewicz added 13 kills, eight digs and four blocks, and Mason Hansen had 13 kills for the Falcons. Tyler Jacob had 11 kills and four digs, and Jonny Rolle added 11 blocks for Foothill.

Brandon Kampshoff paced the Wildcats with 16 kills and 23 digs. Luis Wong had 44 assists, and Raymond Magante had nine kills and 15 digs for Las Vegas, which got 18 digs from Cannon McCoy.

Shadow Ridge 3, Desert Pines 2 — At Shadow Ridge, Cutler Leavitt had 17 assists, 12 digs and three aces as the Mustangs outlasted the Jaguars, 25-27, 25-17, 25-14, 24-26, 15-8.

Tanner Franklin added seven kills, and Sebastian Campos supplied five kills and two blocks for Shadow Ridge, which got 15 assists from Brigg Myers.

Ortega Wiltz had 16 digs, nine kills and six aces, and teammate Estanislao Lansangan supplied 13 assists for Desert Pines.

Valley 3, Basic 1 — At Valley, Justin Sandoval had 38 assists, and Matt Heavey added 25 kills as the Vikings beat the Wolves, 25-21, 23-25, 25-17, 25-18.

Jared Marchello added 14 kills and six aces for Valley.

Matt Gajeski had 24 assists, and teammate Jackson Callister notched 12 kills for Basic.

Bonanza 3, Chaparral 1 — At Bonanza, James Mead had 34 assists to help the Bengals down the Cowboys, 25-15, 25-18, 19-25, 25-2.

Nathan Fales added seven kills, five digs and four aces, Manny Salazar had 13 digs, four kills and three aces, and Bronson Duckworth had 17 kills for Bonanza.

Coronado 3, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Ryan Garlick notched 11 kills, four digs and three blocks as the Cougars swept the Longhorns, 30-28, 25-18, 25-23.

Justice Balany-Flores added 26 assists and four aces, and teammate Trey Hunter had six digs, four kills and two blocks for Coronado.

Omari Wheeler led Legacy with 28 kills, five digs and three aces, and teammate Dominic Harris supplied eight blocks.

Palo Verde 3, Rancho 0 — At Palo Verde, Haden Van Orden had 29 assists to lead the Panthers to a 25-11, 25-17, 25-20 win over the Rams.

Chandler Juilfs and Tristan Bradford each added seven kills for Palo Verde.

Lamont Traylor led Rancho with 11 kills.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Western 0 — At Cimarron, Jason Corrales had 19 assists and two aces as the Spartans swept the Warriors, 25-20, 25-7, 25-11.

Cody Brown had 12 digs and six aces, and teammate Erick Forbush supplied eight kills and two blocks for Cimarron. Fred Tito added five kills, four blocks and two aces for the Spartans.

Gerardo Cardenas had five assists, and teammate Brandon Ly had four kills for Western.

Durango 3, Eldorado 0 — At Durango, Andre Shabazz supplied 29 assists, three digs and three aces to power the Trailblazers to a 25-21, 25-14, 25-7 sweep of the Sundevils.

Michael Diggins had 12 kills, eight digs and five aces for Durango. Marc Vienes added 12 digs, and teammate Jaylen Clark contributed seven kills and five aces for the Trailblazers.

Liberty 3, Clark 0 — At Clark, Ian Tia had six kills, four aces and seven blocks to lead the Patriots to a 25-9, 25-19, 25-15 sweep of the Chargers.

Vincent Lovett added nine kills, and Martin Velasco had 12 assists for Liberty.
