GIRLS TENNIS: Coronado defends home court, wins big against Green Valley

The doubles pair of Mana Iritani and Sofia Potamitis went 3-0 on Wednesday to help the Coronado girls tennis team to a 16-2 home victory against Green Valley.

Nikoletta Nikoloff and Megan King each went 3-0 in singles for the Cougars.

Basic 10, Silverado 8 — At Silverado, Tjaden Giles went 3-0 in singles to help the Wolves get past the Skyhawks.

Britney Green and Mikayla Berg went 3-0 in doubles for Basic.

Criszelle Castro was 2-1 in singles for Silverado.

Centennial 14, Legacy 4 — At Centennial, Sara Altfas went 3-0 in singles, and Macie Stratton was 2-0 to lift the Bulldogs past the Longhorns.

Makenzie Edwards and Allison Thomas went 2-0 in doubles for Centennial.

Clark 14, Sierra Vista 4 — At Clark, Audrey Boch-Collins went 2-0 in singles, helping the Chargers to beat the Mountain Lions.

Faith Lutheran 17, Cimarron-Memorial 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Hannah Lundgaard finished 2-0 in singles in the Crusaders’ win over the Spartans.

The doubles teams of Dina Ciulla and Lauren Haight, and Sophie Longi and Kelsie Seigle went 1-0 for Faith Lutheran.

The Meadows 14, Desert Pines 4 — At The Meadows, Anuja Daulat and Peyton Barsel both went 3-0 in singles for the Mustangs in their victory over the Jaguars.

Sara Blenkiron went 2-0 in singles for The Meadows.

Liberty 16, Foothill 2 — At Liberty, Megan Quandt went 3-0 in singles as the Patriots topped the Falcons.

Palo Verde 16, Arbor View 2 — At Arbor View, the Panthers easily defeated the Aggies.

Adelson School 12, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Lions won by forfeit over the Rattlers.

Virgin Valley 12, Del Sol 0At Mesquite, the Bulldogs defeated the Dragons by forfeit.

Western 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, the Warriors won by forfeit over the Desert Shields.
