GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: Legacy rallies for five-set win over Palo Verde
Myah Maxwell finished with 28 kills, 19 digs and three blocks, and Legacy’s girls volleyball team outlasted visiting Palo Verde 28-26, 22-25, 25-27, 25-21, 16-14 on Thursday.
Kamaile Mendonsa had 65 assists and 12 digs, and Alyssa Fuller added 21 digs for the Longhorns, who kept their playoff hopes alive with the victory.
Arien Fafard led the Panthers with 13 kills, 26 assists and 15 digs.
Nickelle Fleming had 12 kills, and Mia Sadler totaled 15 assists and 12 digs for Palo Verde, which dropped into a third-place tie with Centennial in the Northwest League standings.
Centennial 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, Siara Roberts had five kills, 18 assists, eight aces and five digs, and Talie Bonds had eight kills, seven digs and 10 assists to lead the Bulldogs past the Spartans, 25-15, 26-24, 25-18.
Danyale Berry had seven kills, and Kaysha Clark had 15 digs for the Bulldogs.
Logan DeLong had three kills, one aces and seven assists to lead Cimarron.
Elise Young had four kills and three assists, while Alexandra Payan had two kills, two assists and 20 digs for the Spartans.
Shadow Ridge 3, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Whitnee Nihipali had 16 kills and 12 digs to lead the Mustangs over the Aggies, 25-20, 25-18, 25-16.
Kizzy Rodriguez had eight kills and 21 digs, and Autumn Spendlove dished out 34 assists for the Mustangs.
Sarah Goddard had 13 kills and two aces to lead the Aggies.
Bailey Olbur had four kills and three blocks, and Alyson Jeeves dished out 26 assists and had three aces.
Faith Lutheran 3, Liberty 1 — At Faith Lutheran, Tayah Washington had 16 kills and four aces, and Mary Vancura supplied 39 assists to lead the Crusaders to a 25-16, 25-18, 22-25, 25-16 win over the Patriots.
Sydney Washington had 12 kills, and teammate Logan Van Reken notched 12 digs and six aces for Faith Lutheran.
Tehani Tapuala had 38 assists and 11 digs, and Alexandra Farnsworth supplied 18 kills and 14 digs to lead Liberty.

Jackie Stobbe had 10 assists, Maddie Hansen had six aces, and Marietta Sobeck had five kills for the Trojans.
Jannessa Dunton had two kills to lead the Warriors, and Nikki Riggs had one ace.
