ROUNDUP: Eldorado’s win over Chaparral forces tie in Northeast League
Marissa Mousseau had 26 assists, 10 digs, six kills and four aces on Monday to help Eldorado’s girls volleyball team climb into a tie for fourth place in the Northeast League with a 25-13, 27-25, 25-20 home win over Chaparral.
Casey Bradshaw had 18 digs and six kills for the Sundevils. Karen Avila posted eight kills and four digs, and Chelsea Sallender added eight kills and six digs for Eldorado.
Eldorado’s win left the Sundevils and Chaparral tied for fourth place in the Northeast at 7-6 in league play, one game behind Rancho.
Rancho 3, Desert Pines 1 — At Rancho, Rachel Wiltshire had 27 assists and three kills as the Rams rallied for a 20-25, 25-17, 25-13, 25-8 win over Desert Pines.
Aisha Momodu added 12 kills, and Mahana Pulotu had eight kills and 10 digs for the Rams.
Naomi Medrano had 10 digs for the Jaguars. Alyssa Turner added seven assists and Miranda Berry five aces for Desert Pines.
Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Las Vegas, Danica Pickett had 11 digs, six kills and two aces, and Natresha Bernard had eight kills and six blocks as Las Vegas clinched the Northeast League title outright with a 25-10, 25-12, 25-15 win over the Pioneers.
Yesenia Gex had four aces and three digs, and Ruth Wittig added nine digs for the Wildcats.
Valley 3, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Valley, Lenore Porter had 25 assists, three aces and three digs, and Maureen Aquino had 10 kills and two aces to lead the Vikings past the Miners 25-13, 25-14, 25-9.
Aliza Robinson had nine kills, three blocks, three digs and two aces for Valley.
Coronado 3, Tech 0 — At Coronado, Katie Gamsky’s 23 assists helped the Cougars to a 25-14, 25-9, 25-11 win over Tech.
Kristen Herlosky had eight kills and six digs for the Cougars, who also got seven aces from Ally Davis and seven kills and four blocks from Tiana Tuamoheloa.
Jenn Ngonkhambay had seven assists and Nicole Lara five kills for the Roadrunners.
Green Valley 3, Del Sol 0 — At Green Valley, Jena Chavez had 19 assists, nine kills and seven digs to lead the Gators past the Dragons 25-11, 25-20, 25-19.
Taylor Seidler had 15 digs, and Siga Appelgate added 15 kills for Green Valley.
Natalie Korzenowski had 18 digs and five aces for Del Sol. Kristen Hanks had 10 digs, and Kaleileihua Cabanas added six digs for Del Sol.
Basic 3, Foothill 1 — At Basic, Tara Patchett had 10 digs, nine kills and three blocks and the Wolves downed the Falcons 21-25, 25-16, 25-24, 25-14.
Mercedes James had eight kills and four aces, and Mikayla Bowen added eight kills for Basic.
Christina Nash had 20 assists to lead the Falcons. Rhianna Gelhart had nine kills and Kelsey McFarland tallied eight kills for Foothill.
Palo Verde 3, Faith Lutheran 1 — At Palo Verde, Jovana Sisovic had 17 kills, 12 digs and four aces to lead the Panthers past the Crusaders 25-21, 25-17, 21-25, 25-17.
Tori Lounsbery had 34 assists and 10 digs, and Ainsley Lovejoy added 15 kills, eight digs and three blocks for Palo Verde.
Meagan Hauser had 12 kils and three aces for the Crusaders. Kelsey McCourt had 28 assists, and Kayla McCourt had 11 digs for Faith Lutheran.
Sandy Valley 3, Adelson School 0 — At Sandy Valley, Kenzi Smith served eight aces to help the Sidewinders beat Adelson School, 25-10, 25-10, 25-14.
Cristian Auer had two kills for Sandy Valley.
Silverado 3, Liberty 0 — At Silverado, the Skyhawks defeated the Patriots, 25-12, 25-10, 25-10.
Liberty’s Amanda Delgado had 11 digs.
