ROUNDUP: McClure, Aggies outlast Spring Valley
Jenna McClure had 24 digs, 14 kills and two aces, and her two key kills late in the final set Tuesday helped Arbor View’s girls volleyball team edge visiting Spring Valley, 23-25, 25-23, 16-25, 25-22, 15-13.
Sam Bales had 11 kills, nine digs and four blocks to help Arbor View. Kayla Papuga supplied 22 digs, 12 kills and five aces, and Tara Wiese had 28 assists and two kills for the Aggies.
Nicole Rafay had 10 kills, seven assists, three blocks and two digs, and Jessica Rafay had 10 assists, seven blocks, six kills and five digs to lead the Grizzlies.
Hannah Karas supplied 10 digs, and Courtney Lance had four kills, four digs and five blocks for Spring Valley.
Las Vegas 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Las Vegas, Anjelica Ashworth had 14 digs, and Samantha Remer tallied nine digs and three aces as the Wildcats swept the Pioneers, 25-14, 25-8, 25-15.
Charlai Francis added six kills for Las Vegas.
Summer Asturi had 11 digs, and Maureen Talice supplied three kills and three blocks for Canyon Springs.
Sierra Vista 3, Durango 0 — At Durango, Bridgette Levi had 12 kills to lead the Mountain Lions to a 25-20, 25-12, 27-25 win over the Trailblazers.
Kara Felise had 17 assists to help Sierra Vista, and teammate Sydney Land added five blocks and three kills.
Hailee Wilson had nine digs, three kills and three aces to lead Durango. Carly Taylor dished out 11 assists, and Jordan Myers had eight digs for the Trailblazers.
Clark 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Claire Law dished out 13 assists and served seven aces, and Shelly Tang added seven kills and four blocks as the Chargers swept the Rattlers 25-17, 25-6, 25-14.
Anna Zhang added six kills, and June Roberts had five kills and two blocks for Clark.
Ashley Persico had five digs and four kills, and Courtney Rampolla tallied five assists for Mojave.
Palo Verde 3, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Palo Verde, McCall Phillips tallied 11 kills, six digs and four blocks, and Kendall Cheval provided six kills, six aces and four digs as the Panthers beat the Mustangs 25-18, 25-21, 25-11.
Stephanie Herman supplied 27 assists and five digs, and Faryn Duncan added 11 digs for Palo Verde.
Faith Lutheran 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, Gianni Perryman distributed 11 assists, and Taylor Richards served eight aces as the Crusaders swept the Desert Shields, 25-11, 25-8, 25-11.
Courtney Hansen had seven kills, and Megan Panikkar dished out 10 assists for Faith Lutheran, which got three blocks from Morgan Hill.
Pahrump Valley 3, Western 0 — At Pahrump, Bryanna Soliwoda logged 15 assists to help the Trojans defeat the Warriors, 25-13, 25-15, 25-15.
Payton Hart had 10 kills, and Makayla Davis had four blocks for Pahrump, which got six aces from Alyssa Murphy.
Yatzi Carranza led Western with four kills, and teammate Paea Savou served two aces.
Green Valley 3, Silverado 0 — At Silverado, Carly Schiess had 13 kills and five digs to help the Gators roll past the Skyhawks, 25-18, 25-15, 25-17.
Nikki Drost helped Green Valley with 13 kills, four aces and three digs, and teammate Jenna Swaffer added 31 assists.
Bridgette Dwyer added nine kills, and Amanda Lake added nine digs and two aces for the Gators.
Kayla Agae had nine kills to lead Silverado, and teammate Morgan Little finished with 14 assists. Lauren Purdy had four blocks, and Amari Norris supplied three blocks for the Skyhawks.
Rancho 3, Valley 0 — At Rancho, the Rams posted a 25-14, 25-15, 25-15 win over the Vikings.
Diva Carter had eight digs and three kills, and Taylor Sandhu added six assists and two kills for Valley.
Calvary Chapel 2-2, Agassi Prep 0-0 — At Calvary Chapel, McKenna Beckwith served seven aces in each match as the Lions swept the Stars, 25-11, 25-9 and 25-9, 25-7.
In the opener, Brooke Davis had 10 assists, five aces and three kills, and Deja Harris added eight kills and two blocks for Calvary Chapel.
Kayla Johnson had seven assists and four aces, and Alexis Harris added six aces and four kills for the Lions in the nightcap. Jamie Mejia had five kills and two blocks for Calvary Chapel.
Pahranagat Valley 3, Mountain View 0 — At Alamo, the Panthers swept the Saints, 25-19, 25-19, 25-14.
