ROUNDUP: Virgin Valley sweeps Mountain View in girls volleyball
Rachel Morris had 10 kills on Tuesday night to lead the Virgin Valley girls volleyball team to a 25-17, 25-18, 25-18 win over host Mountain View.
Shelby Brotherson added five kills, and Sarah Franzen had 10 aces for the Bulldogs. Ellie Biasi had four aces for Virgin Valley.
Charde Page led Mountain View with four aces, three kills and three blocks.
Shadow Ridge 3, Legacy 0 — At Shadow Ridge, Kylie Schraft had 13 kills and nine aces, and Kelsey Tesoro added eight kills and 11 digs to help the Mustangs down the Longhorns, 25-20, 25-11, 25-14.
Kelsey Knight had 10 digs for Legacy, and Kayla Murray tallied six kills and two digs.
Centennial 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Centennial, Johnna Brown had 15 kills, and Kayla Wilson had 18 assists, six digs and two aces as the Bulldogs beat the Desert Shields, 25-8, 25-7, 25-15.
Danielle York added four digs, four aces and four kills for Centennial. Crystal Bonnetts had five kills and six assists for Cheyenne.
Arbor View 3, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Stayzia Garness had six kills to lead the Aggies over the Rattlers, 25-2, 25-14, 25-16.
Arbor View’s Lorin Rader added six assists and nine aces.
Palo Verde 3, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Palo Verde, Tianna Gadbaw had 12 kills and 14 digs to help the Panthers down the Spartans, 25-22, 25-15, 25-21.
Nicole Gneiting added 12 kills and five digs for the Panthers. Ainsley Lovejoy had nine kills and six digs, and Tori Lounsbery added 30 assists for Palo Verde.
Cimarron’s Jessica White had 21 assists and five digs, Catherine Wyre added eight kills and six digs, and Leilani Blanco had five kills and six digs for the Spartans.
Green Valley 3, Foothill 0 — At Green Valley, Sydney Brozovich had 14 kills in the Gators’ 25-9, 25-6, 25-13 win over the Falcons.
Siga Appelgate had 13 kills and five aces for Green Valley, and Jena Chavez had 32 assists and five aces.
Coronado 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Katie Gansky had 25 assists and seven aces, and Kuulei Piena added seven kills and five aces as the Cougars beat the Patriots, 25-14, 25-8, 25-18.
Kristen Herlosky added eight kills and two aces for Coronado. Ally Gelles had three aces and four digs for Liberty.
Del Sol 3, Tech 0 — At Tech, Gaby Leubke had eight kills and Brianna Chavez six to lead the Dragons over the Roadrunners, 25-8, 25-7, 25-13.
Del Sol’s Kadie Miller assisted on 21 points and had 10 aces, Karie Miller recorded five kills and four aces for the Dragons, and Kristen Hanks had eight aces.
Trinity 3, Adelson School 0 — At Trinity, Andrea Martinez had 15 aces, six kills and six digs as the Thunder defeated the Lions 25-6, 25-15, 25-3.
Stephanie Arrue recorded seven aces and seven digs for Trinity.
Lake Mead 3, The Meadows 0 — At The Meadows, Ashley Newton had 13 kills, eight digs and six blocks to lead the Eagles to a 25-19, 26-24, 25-18 win over the Mustangs.
Amanda Wellman added 10 kills and 10 digs, Sam Herman had 11 aces, and Jessica Rinaldi had 13 assists and 11 digs for Lake Mead.
Boulder City 3, Needles (Calif.) 0 — At Boulder City, Paxton Fleming had 19 assists in the Eagles’ 25-14, 25-20, 25-23 win over the Mustangs.
Kelsey Rippliner had five digs for Boulder City, and Julia Jeppiel added five blocks.
Calvary Chapel 3, Henderson International 0 — At Henderson International, Jamie Bearden had 12 assists, and Jordan Strong tallied seven aces and four kills as the Lions beat the Wolverines, 25-19, 25-19, 28-26.
Lauren Fiegler added five kills and Danielle Johnson five aces for Calvary Chapel.
Henderson International’s Fabi Pachas had 17 digs and five kills, and Joanna Rubinstein had 14 assists and 12 digs.
Moapa Valley 3, Pahranagat Valley 1 — At Overton, Cydney Solomon had 43 assists and 13 digs to lead the Pirates to a 25-15, 25-12, 22-25, 25-23 win over the Panthers.
Shelby Thompson added 13 kills and 16 digs for Moapa Valley.
Faith Lutheran 3, Agassi Prep 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Heather Lake and Hailey Washinsky each served nine aces in the Crusaders’ 25-4, 25-6, 25-7 win over the Stars.
Washinsky added six kills, Kelsey McCourt had 15 assists, and Meagan Hauser had seven kills.
Silverado 3, Basic 0 — At Silverado, Patti Flagg had 12 kills to help the Skyhawks to a 25-9, 25-9, 25-7 win over Basic.
Taylor Richard added eight kills for Silverado. Marilyn Agae dished out 14 assists. Jessica Witt served four aces.
