VOLLEYBALL: Kaiser helps Lions split, hand White Pine first league loss

Olivia Kaiser had eight kills, and Mariah Martin dished out 17 assists to help host Calvary Chapel’s volleyball team hand White Pine its first Division III Southern League loss of the year, 25-21, 25-16 in the second match of a doubleheader on Friday.

Lexi Davis had four kills and seven digs, and Sara Hernandez had 14 digs for the Lions.

In the opener, the Bobcats posted a 25-17, 25-15 win. Martin had nine assists, and Kaiser had eight kills for Calvary Chapel.

Lincoln County 2-2, Laughlin 0-0 — At Panaca, Bridon Lewis had six aces, 12 kills and six digs to help the Lynx sweep a double-header, 25-13, 25-9 and 25-20, 25-10.

Chesnee Harding had a total of 15 assists and 12 digs for Lincoln County, which got three kills, five aces and five digs from Cameron Lloyd in the nightcap.

Needles 2-0, Lake Mead 1-2 — At Needles, Calif., the Mustangs won the opener, 25-21, 22-25, 15-7, but the Eagles rebounded for a 25-23, 25-21 win in the nightcap.

Josey White and Allee Butz each had seven kills for Lake Mead, which got six aces from Jenette Hensley.

Pahranagat Valley 3, Sandy Valley 0 — At Sandy Valley, the Panthers were 25-14, 25-15, 25-20 winners over the Sidewinders.
