VOLLEYBALL: Norr, Diamondbacks rally to top Cimarron
Madison Norr had 15 kills and five aces Tuesday to lead Desert Oasis’ girls volleyball team to a 21-25, 21-25, 25-14, 25-22, 15-10 victory over visiting Cimarron-Memorial.
Emily Ragsdale added seven kills for the Diamondbacks, and teammate Laityn Sarna had 25 assists and five aces.
Kendall Higgins contributed 12 digs and three aces for Desert Oasis.
Logan DeLong led the Spartans with 14 kills, 11 assists and four aces. Alex Payan had 15 digs for Cimarron.
Sierra Vista 3, Clark 1 — At Clark, Bridgette Levi supplied 16 digs and 12 kills to lead the Mountain Lions to a 25-11, 23-25, 25-17, 25-15 victory over the Chargers.
Faith Gray-Williams dished out 38 assists, and teammate Shantalle Demirjian added 10 kills for Sierra Vista.
Lindsay Folkerts had 16 digs, eight assists, six kills and five aces to lead Clark. Liza Spilsbury had 11 digs, Tearra Camacho had nine digs and Stephanie Warren had six kills for the Chargers.
Pahrump Valley 3, Mojave 0 — At Pahrump, Alexis Trieb had nine kills, and Koral Hearn had eight kills to lead the Trojans to a 25-14, 25-15, 25-22 victory over the Rattlers.
Jill Smith added 18 assists for Pahrump. Lauren Ashford (10 digs), Lauren Koenig (nine digs) and Samantha Padilla (eight digs) paced the defense for the Trojans.
Shayanne Orton led Mojave with seven kills and three blocks. Sua Estrada added 13 assists for the Rattlers, who got 13 digs from Michelle Hernandez and eight digs from Carissa Limtiaco.
Centennial 3, Bonanza 0 — At Bonanza, Talie Bonds had six kills, 19 assists, two aces and 12 digs to lead the Bulldogs to a 25-19, 25-23, 25-19 sweep of the Bengals.
Centennial’s Gabrielle Neuman had eight kills and six digs, and teammate Kjersten Saunders added two aces and 23 digs. Natalie Starlin had nine kills and six digs for the Bulldogs.
Hayley Huntsman led Bonanza with nine kills, 19 assists and 15 digs.
Alexa Rodriguez had seven kills for the Bengals, who also got 18 digs from Chianna Rodriguez.
Las Vegas 3, Liberty 0 — At Liberty, Tajanae Davis had 18 kills, nine digs and eight blocks to lead the Wildcats past the Patriots, 26-24, 27-25, 25-15.
Kaila Barney had two aces and 16 digs, and teammate Anna Dobbins had 12 digs for Las Vegas. Lexia Brockett added 24 assists and had 12 digs for the Wildcats.
Liberty’s Tiffany Watkins had eight kills, and Maggie Heim had six kills for the Patriots.
Spring Valley 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Spring Valley, Jessica Rafay had 10 assists, eight kills and eight aces to lead the Grizzlies to a 25-20, 25-17, 25-16 sweep of the Desert Shields.
Danielle Amonica had nine assists and eight kills, Cashmere Buford added six digs and Mikayla Miller had five digs for Spring Valley.
Cheyenne’s Tia Echols had four kills, and Karina Toro notched four aces for the Desert Shields.
Faith Lutheran 3, Western 0 — At Faith Lutheran, Megan Kronschnabel supplied 31 assists, six digs and four aces to power the Cruaders to a 25-7, 25-5, 25-5 sweep of the Warriors.
Sydney Washington had seven kills, and teammate Logan Van Reken added seven digs for Faith Lutheran, which got five kills from Bryanna Neagle.
Canyon Springs 3, Valley 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Pioneers defeated the Vikings.
Juleanna Tella led Valley with five kills and seven digs, and Kyla King added 10 digs for the Vikings.
Lake Mead 3, Laughlin 0 — At Lake Mead, Jenette Hensley had 10 kills and nine digs to lead the Eagles to a 25-10, 25-18, 25-22 victory over Laughlin.
Rachael Watkins added 19 assists and five aces for Lake Mead, which got five digs and two aces from Bianca Carpenter.
White Pine 3, Pahranagat Valley 0 — At Alamo, the Bobcats beat the Panthers, 25-12, 25-23, 25-17.
