VOLLEYBALL: Sandhu, Vikings hold off Warriors

Gabby Cabanero had 23 kills, 10 digs and three aces for the Vikings, who got eight kills from Corrine Burton and 16 digs from Liza Aperacho.

Destiny Gonzalez paced the Warriors with eight kills and seven blocks. Paea Sovou added five assists, three aces and two kills for Western.

Centennial 3, Cheyenne 0 — At Centennial, Kristi Farley had 25 assists and six aces, and Tiana Bonds tallied seven kills and two aces as the Bulldogs swept the Desert Shields, 25-4, 25-9, 25-17.

Cristina Owens added eight kills for Centennial.

Legacy 3, Canyon Springs 0 — At Legacy, Emily Valerio had 15 assists and 10 aces as the Longhorns swept the Pioneers, 25-9, 25-15, 25-11.

Ashley Smoot had five kills and two blocks for Legacy, which also got two kills from Reina Martin.

Melane Miller had three aces, and Maureen Talice added two kills for Canyon Springs.

Faith Lutheran 3, Sierra Vista 0 — At Sierra Vista, Morgan Hill had 12 kills and five blocks as the Crusaders swept the Lions, 25-18, 25-19, 25-14.

Megan Panikkar added 13 assists and four aces, and Courtney Hansen put down seven kills for Faith Lutheran.

Kira Felise had 25 assists, and Maeganne Cabias tallied 25 digs for Sierra Vista, which also got 12 kills from Bridgette Levi.

Durango 3, Desert Oasis 0 — At Durango, Trea Ortega had nine kills and 18 digs, and Precious Williams supplied eight kills and 10 digs to lead the Trailblazers to a 25-16, 25-19, 25-21 sweep of the Diamondbacks.

Carly Taylor dished out 31 assists for Durango, which got eight digs from Gabriela Morgan and seven digs from Jordan Myers.

Sunrise Mountain 3, Eldorado 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, Evelyn Lopez had 22 assists, and Natalie Sharp served nine aces to lead the Miners to a 25-15, 25-23, 27-25 win over the Sundevils.

Melelini Lisa Carter had four aces and five digs, and Rebecca Ramirez added six digs and three aces for Sunrise Mountain.

Cimarron-Memorial 3, Desert Pines 0 — At Cimarron, Katie Curran had five aces and two kills, and Breanna DeCloud added four kills to help the Spartans beat the Jaguars, 25-15, 25-16, 25-21.

Bishop Gorman 3, Seaquam (Canada) 0 — At Gorman, Gianna Ruggeroli recorded 12 kills, five digs and two blocks, and Shelly Layman had six digs and four aces as the Gaels swept the Seahawks, 25-14, 25-21, 25-23.

Emma Filosi dished out 19 assists, and Emma Kirst supplied seven kills and three blocks for Gorman, which also got six kills from Francesca Manz.
