WRESTLING: Valenti, Gators pin Arbor View
Anthony Valenti recorded a first-period pin at the heavyweight class Thursday to help Green Valley’s wrestling team to a 64-12 win over visiting Arbor View.
Josh Temple (126 pounds), Jared Brathor (132), Jared Temple (145), Jon Gardner (195) and Logan Hughes (220) also scored pins for the Gators.
Andrew Riffel (182) and Sergei Ireland (113) won by pin for the Aggies.
Liberty 50, Desert Oasis 6 — At Liberty, Siah Monterde recorded a pin at heavyweight in 28 seconds to help the Patriots down the Diamondbacks.
Storm Roper (145) recorded a pin in 47 seconds for Liberty.
