Photos ops with the first lady
Moms will relate to Helen Foley’s attempts to get a good photo of her son Will, 6, and daughter Grace, 7, with first lady Michelle Obama on Tuesday at Red Rock Canyon.
Below is the classic “kid in front, celebrity in back” shot. Except Grace’s head is mostly missing. Not a real photographic success to have only half your kid’s head.
But it helps to come from a prominent family of devoted Democrats. When U.S. Sen. Harry Reid saw that Grace was Helen’s daughter, he interceded for another shot, this one:
“Mrs. Obama was a good sport because she laughed and said, ‘Okay, Mom, get it right this time,’ “ Helen Foley said.
