Democrats shut down government to protect illegal aliens?

The Democrats in the Senate allowed the government to shut down for a few days over protection of people brought to this country illegally. One would think, with all the lawyers in the Senate, that they would know what the word “illegal” means. Maybe we should start electing people who have common sense and not a law degree.
