Nevada is so low on the rating scale that it’s embarrassing, and yet qualified teachers from other states are discouraged from applying.

Here in Nevada, the Department of Employment reports that as of year end 2016 government compensation is higher that the private sector both statewide and in Clark County.

This pay insufficiency is striking when you consider the compensation and staff of the police chiefs of Henderson ($185, 299), North Las Vegas ($158,879) and Reno ($142,022).

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought the constable’s job was to uphold the law, not break it for more than two years.

Mr. Joecks needs to use that kind of misdirection because, like most on the hard right, he can’t accept anything that varies from his narrow perspective.
