The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s insurance program is funded through assessments on banks and investment income, not from American taxpayer funds. Lexicographer Noah Webster, not statesman Daniel Webster, was the author of Webster’s Dictionary. Those facts were incorrect in Steve Sebelius’s column on Friday.
