Race 1 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $35,000, Claiming $32,000, 3-year-olds
2 Call Me Jones – If the grass races come off, likely with the torrential ran in SoCal, his last slop race is looking good.
3 Showmethemoneyjim – Jeff Mullins has an uncoupled entry; this one is the morning line chalk and has the turf resume.
Long Shot – 1 Danger Ranger
Race 2 – 6 furlongs, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 4-year-olds and up
1 Tough ‘n Dangerous – Was well placed when he ran out of gas late; figures to be a lot tighter in second career start.
4 – First Blue Angel – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; need not be much to compete.
Long Shot – 2 Clocker Moment
Race 3 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $16,000, Claiming $12,500, 4-year-olds and up
2 Private Bounty – Decent slop effort in last; enough beef to put the mustard on should it be sloppy again.
6 Take No Prisoners – Bob Baffert cull figures to be claimed by someone; this horse will have many cheap conditions after this.
Long Shot – 4 Onebadboy
Race 4 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $30,000, Starter allowance $40,000, 3-year-olds and up
1 Blake – Speed figures to do well again should the track remain sloppy; most horses do not like the wet kick back in their faces.
2 The Bien’s Gift – No jockey is riding as hot as Joe Talamo right now; tactical speed to sit a nice trip.
Long Shot – 3 Go the the Pulpit
Race 5 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds
6 Eaton Hall – Bob Baffert speedball lost to Holy Candy in last; that one is starting today in the Toyota Blue Grass.
1 Stratify – A. P. Indy get seem to like a wet racetrack; saves all the ground and grinds it out late.
Long Shot – 2 Called to Steve
Race 6 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds
6 You Know I Know – Strong slop race last time out; your edge is you’ll know if the turf races are coming off the grass.
3 Canuletmedowneasy – Two good seconds on grass should the race stay on the hillside; if it comes off, your move.
Long Shot – 5 Fleet Eagle
Race 7 – 6 1/2 furlongs, Purse $58,000, Optional claiming 440,000, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
2 Pink Lollipops – I’m a sucker for good horses eased last time out; this one can play catch me if you can.
6 Melissa Rose – Claimed by John Sadler and aggressive spotted to protect her; he one slop race earned a paltry 31 Beyer.
Long Shot – 1 Pincelada
Race 8 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 8 feet), $100,000 Las Cienegas Handicap, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up
5 Mizdirection – Best bet going down the hillside course; if it comes off, she may scratch as she has become a turf specialist.
1 Unzip Me – Has only started on turf or synthetics in 25 races; if this switches to the main track, a likely scratch.
Long Shot – 4 Broken Dreams
Race 9 – 5 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds
5 Courageousandbold – Tiny edge to this John Sadler cull in a sad looking finale; need not be much to get her photo taken.
2 Sweet Juju – Was well bet in debut and ran evenly for Mike Pender; adds blinkers on, expect improvement.
Long Shot – 3 Love My Girl
Best Bet – 2 Pink Lollipops (race 7)
