Race 1 – 6 furlongs, Purse $30,000, Starter allowance $40,000, Fillies, 3-year-olds

1 Miss American Pie – Visually impressive regardless of 12-length debut win; suspect won’t see another price tag for a while.

5 Boller Bomb – Finally found a field soft enough to beat last out; didn’t beat much, but may have found her confidence.

Long Shot – 3 Exclusive Story

Race 2 – 6 furlongs, $75,000 San Pedro, 3-year-olds

1 Distinctiv Passion – He may not want to go far, but will be tough in any 1-turn race; will be a very useful sort.

3 Really Mr Greely – Draw a line thru a pop and stop try in the Cash Call Futurity; he may find sprinting to his liking.

Long Shot – 4 Hear the Ghost

Race 3 – 1 1/8th miles (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, 4-year-olds and up

1 Toruk Makto – Tries to break a string of 3 straight seconds; been away 2-months, will hug the white rail throughout.

4 Copper Bay – Showed a lot of improvement second time out; won’t be anywhere near 31/1 against this kind.

Long Shot – 7 Vantage Point

Race 4 – 1 mile, Purse $19,000, Maiden claiming $20,000, 4-year-olds and up

8 Mind the Master – Ran poorly last time with the blinkers off; Peter Eurton puts the blinkers back on, expect improvement.

1 Political Man – Ran evenly in his SoCal debut; his Keeneland race two back is fast enough to upset these.

Long Shot – 6 Wild Side Story

Race 5 – 1 mile, Purse $17,000, Claiming $8,000, Four-year-olds and up

7 Max Cooper – Drops to the bottom class rung in search of victory; tactical speed to sit a nice trip.

Long Shot – 8 Miles Heir

Race 6 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 4-year-olds and up

1 Cayambe – 9-YO veteran tries hard, can win when he’s right; another claim by Bill Spawr that won first time out.

4 Tamarack Smarty – Dead late closer cuts back in distance today; will need a speed duel melt down to set up his rally.

Long Shot – 2 Raetodandty

Race 7 – 6 1/2 furlongs, $150,000 Santa Ynez, Fillies, 3-year-olds

8 Beholder – She has been given 3-months to recover off her Breeders’ Cup win; anything close to that destroys these.

3 Dawn’s Charm – Exploded with a double digit MSW win last out; we’ll find out today whether she is man or mouse.

Long Shot – 2 Blushing Angel

Race 8 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, 4-year-olds and up

1 Judge Carr – Real competitve with these in his last two starts; saves all the ground and slugs it out late.
