1 Brown Is Beige – Claimed by Jeff Mullins who is on a roll like the good old days; shown to like Santa Anita sod.

4 Sarasota Sunshine – Went wire to wire in last win; suspect she will not need the lead to succeed under Rafael Bejarano.

Long Shot – 5 Picture Perfect

Race 3 – 6 furlongs, Purse $25,000, Maiden claiming $75,000, 3-year-olds

5 Tummel – Like the cut back in distance from route to sprint; figures to find his best stride late.

2 Put It There – Tepid chalk has some gas to attend the early pace; class relief returning to face other maidens.

Long Shot – 6 Cast a Doubt

Race 4 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $80,000, 3-year-olds

1 Koast – Exploded with a fast win in turf debut; this may be his preferred surface, like Rafael Bejarano up.

8 Boat Trip – Another who woke up first time on turf; Jose Valdivia, Jr. is trying to rebuild his SoCal business.

Long Shot – 3 Declan

Race 5 – 6 furlongs, Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $25,000, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 4-year-olds and up

1 Trapper’s Bounty – Claimed by Vann Belvoir and dropped in class; adding blinkers on and Rafael Bejarano.

4 Mona Storm – Off the turf angle; solid shot in a wide open affair, tactical speed to sit a nice trip.

Long Shot – 6 Lil Miss Macky

Race 6 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 8 feet), Purse $58,000, Allowance, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

7 Unusual Hottie – Kevin Krigger has worked hard building up his SoCal business; proved he belongs with the big boys.

6 Shezabigbroad – Second race off the claim by Mike Mitchell; was a stride late in last, solid shot with these.

Long Shot – 3 Bodie Girl

Race 7 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $16,000, Claiming $12,500, 4-year-olds and up

4 Uzziah – Returns to the claiming price he was claimed at by Robertino Diodoro; class relief is always and advantage.

5 Jim’s Decision – Tepid chalk in another difficult leg of the pick 6; 2-day carryover makes the wager a must play.

Long Shot – 7 Miles Long Gone

Race 8 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 8 feet), $75,000 Sidd Finch, 4-year-olds and up

3 Make Music For Me – Dead late closer in a race jammed with early speed types; class relief from the grade 1 Kilroe.

2 Dewey’s Special – Speedball should be aided by the turf rail out 8 feet; still the key is if others go with him.

Long Shot – 5 Calimonco

Race 9 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, Cal-breds, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

11 Enduring Promise – He looks like lone early speed; Corey Nakatani as good as it gets nursing a speedball wire to wire.

6 My Slew – Don’t see many claimed out of a maiden claiming $20K; Steve Asmussen must have seen something long term.
