6 Hurricane Lake – Outside post in a 2-turn route; been claimed in 2-of-3 recent starts, proves he is a hot commodity.

4 Carlot Cowboy – This guy has been claimed in 5-of-7 recent starts; good tax dollars for the state, expect improvement for Bill Spawr.

Long Shot – 5 Perfect Set

Race 2 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, 2-year-olds

1 Desert Dynamo – When a FTS whose stallion costs $7,500 and was sold for $170K, that’s impressive; Rafael Bejarano and fast works too.

4 Iancol – Part of an uncoupled entry from the maestro Jerry Hollendorfer; this one is making his career debut.

Long Shot – 8 Zendai

Race 3 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $30,000, Starter allowance $40,000, 2-year-olds

6 Top Drawer – Exits a stakes race for the condition; don’t mind the parking lost post as he does not need the lead to succeed.

4 Stormin Wild – No barn hotter right now that Leandro Mora; while his boss Doug O’Neill is on suspension, they just keep winning races.

Long Shot – 5 One More Roll

Race 4 – 1 mile (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $45,000, Claiming $50,000, 3-year-olds and up

7 Press Baron – With his turf pedigree, he has been a useful sort; claimed 3 races ago by Richard Baltas, remains super productive.

2 Polytechnicien – Shipped to NoCal for a sharp win; has run well on the lead or sitting just off the early pace.

Long Shot – 4 Stoney Fleece

Race 5 – 6 furlongs, Purse $56,000, Maiden special weights, 3-year-olds and up

4 Alfa Bird – Did everything but win in a well meant debut; his last 3 works are outstanding, figures to be short odds.

7 Well Lawyered – Lots to like in first start for new barn of Simon Callaghan; a first time gelding and solid work tab.

Long Shot – 5 He’s a Bling

Race 6 – 1 1/8th miles (turf, rail at 15 feet), Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $20,000, Cal-breds, 3-year-olds and up

7 Unusually Green – Exited a difficult first level allowance in last; adding blinkers on, is showing more signs of improvement.

3 Mal Verde – Tepid chalk in a really wide open affair; best races have been on grass, however it’s his first 2-turn route race.

Long Shot – 9 Lucky J Lane

Race 7 – 6 furlongs, Purse $27,000, Maiden claiming $40,000, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

2 Wild Caroline – Like the cut back in distance where she should be finishing strong; ran first time for a price tag in last start.

4 Spectacular Proof – Speedball has stubbornly yielded the lead late in both career starts; simple tactics again for him tonight.

Long Shot – 9 Barbs Angel

Race 8 – 1 1/16th miles, Purse $58,000, Optional claiming $40,000, 3-year-olds and up

1 Got Even – After 2 starts at Del Mar, returns to his favorite track and preferred surface, dirt; figures to save every inch of ground.

9 Toowindytohaulrox – Suspect will get a wide trip from a parking lot post; this is his first dirt start, though he’s trained over it.

Long Shot – 5 Toledo Eddie

Race 9 – 6 1/2 furlongs (turf, rail at 15 feet), $100,000 California Distaff Handicap, Cal-breds, Fillies and mares, 3-year-olds and up

9 Tribal Spy – Draw a line thru the poor last race at Del Mar; has a solid resume of good races down the hillside turf course.

6 Heat Trap – Has run twice down the hill with a win and a third; like her turf resume too, figures to be flying in the late stages.

Long Shot – 4 Qiaona

Race 10 – 5 1/2 furlongs, Purse $23,000, Maiden claiming $30,000, Fillies, 2-year-olds

4 Yes She’s a Dancer – Taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; showed improvement in Los Alamitos races.

7 Holy Ascension – Another taking the biggest class drop in racing from MSW to maiden claiming; need not be much to compete.

Long Shot – 11 Forest Trees
