NFL BAD BEATS BLOG: Shockers by Jaguars, Broncos highlight day

Top matchups include the Raiders at the New York Giants, the Green Bay Packers at the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Tennessee Titans at the Los Angeles Rams in the Sunday night game.

8:35 p.m.: That’s it for today. Favorites went just 3-9 against the spread. Seven underdogs scored outright wins, led by the Jacksonville Jaguars, who stunned the Buffalo Bills 9-6 as 16-point underdogs and 8-1 on the money line. The Denver Broncos also won as double-digit ’dogs, beating the Dallas Cowboys 30-16 at +10 and 4-1 on the money line.

Other big upsets included the Titans (+270 at the Rams), the Falcons (+250 at the Saints) and the Cardinals (+200 at the 49ers). Totals went 7-5 to the under.

Ohtani’s ex-interpreter charged with stealing $16M in sports betting case

Federal authorities charged the former longtime interpreter for Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani on Thursday with federal bank fraud, alleging that he stole more than $16 million from the Japanese sensation to cover gambling debts.
