Sharps, public bettors ‘all over’ side in Bills-Dolphins game
Caesars Sportsbook took sharp action on the Dolphins over the Bills on Sunday, and the betting public is also backing Miami in a big way on “Thursday Night Football.”
“Bettors are all over the Dolphins tonight; a Bills cover is ideal for the sportsbook,” BetMGM senior trading manager Tristan Davis said. “Additionally, we are cheering for anyone except for (Buffalo quarterback) Josh Allen and (Miami wide receiver) Tyreek Hill to find the end zone.”
Allen and Hill are co-favorites (+650) at the Westgate SuperBook to score the game’s first touchdown.
One Caesars bettor wagered $110,000 to win $100,000 on the Dolphins -1½.

Miami is now a consensus 2½-point home favorite over Buffalo.
The SuperBook has the Dolphins at -2½ (-105) and Bills at +2½ (-105) as part of its reduced juice on NFL sides this season.
The consensus total is down to 48 after it opened at 50½ and was at 49 on Thursday morning. At BetMGM, 66 percent of the money on the total is on the under.
At Station Sports, 73 percent of the tickets are on the over.
At BetMGM, Miami leads the ticket count (54 percent) and money (61 percent) wagered against the spread, while Buffalo leads the tickets (67 percent) and money (57 percent) on the money line (+120).
The Dolphins rallied to win their season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars 20-17 on Sunday but failed to cover as 3½-point home favorites. The Bills also won that same day but didn’t cover -6½ in a 34-28 home victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Buffalo has dominated the series recently, going 11-1, though it is only 7-5 against the spread. Allen is 6-0 in Thursday games, 4-2 ATS.
Prime-time favorites went 4-0 ATS in Week 1 in the NFL and went 3-1 to the over.
