Today’s best bet: DETROIT TIGERS (-130) over New York Yankees
Yankees ace CC Sabathia is an underdog for the first time this season, and it could be tempting to take him. But the Tigers’ Justin Verlander is the best pitcher in baseball and the price is right. Verlander’s regular-season numbers (24-5, 2.40 ERA, 0.92 WHIP) were better across the board than Sabathia’s (19-8, 3.00, 1.23). The Yankees lost three of four games at Detroit this year.
