Hearing delayed in boxer Mayweather’s felony case

A preliminary hearing scheduled for Thursday in champion boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s felony case related to a domestic violence incident was delayed until July 29.

Mayweather faces several felony charges, including coercion, grand larceny and robbery in connection with the Sept. 9 incident with his three children and their mother, Josie Harris.

Mayweather, who did not appear in court, remains free on $31,000 bail in the case.

In a separate case, the boxer faces a misdemeanor battery charge on allegations he poked a Southern Highlands security officer in the face after a November confrontation over a parking ticket. A bench trial in that case is set for Sept. 1.
