Pacquiao, Marquez make weight for Saturday’s WBO title fight
Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez easily made weight for Saturday’s WBO welterweight title fight at the MGM Grand Garden.
Pacquiao weighed 143 pounds while Marquez came in at 142 as both fighters were below the contracted catch weight of 144 pounds.
Saturday’s fight, which has been sold out for weeks, attracted a crowd of 5,500 to today’s weigh-in. Several hundred fans were turned away.
