Fill your hockey void with 16 days of Golden Knights games

UPDATE: The Golden Knights have extended their schedule to show more games starting Tuesday with the team’s 100th win in franchise history. The games will run through April 15. A new, updated schedule follows the original story.

The Golden Knights are helping you fill the void left by the NHL season being placed on pause with 16 days of hockey.

Beginning Wednesday at 7 p.m., AT&T SportsNet in Las Vegas will air 16 classic Knights games from the team’s first two seasons. AT&T SportsNet is available on DIRECTV channel 684, DISH channel 414, Cox channels 313 (SD) and 1313 (HD) and CenturyLink channels 760 (SD) and 1760 (HD).

Fans are invited to engage with the Knights during the broadcasts using the hashtag #VGKReplay on social media.

Each game broadcast will be 90 minutes and will capture the highlights of each contest.

The first game featured will be the Knights’ 4-3 overtime victory over the Ottawa Senators from Oct. 28, 2018, when Vegas forward Jonathan Marchessault scored a penalty-shot goal in overtime. Additional games will include some of the biggest moments from the regular-season and some playoff games.

Tuesday, April 7 – Vegas Golden Knights at Pittsburgh Penguins (Oct. 19, 2019)

  • The Golden Knights head to PPG Paints Arena and record their 100th win overall as a franchise.
  • Against his former team, Marc-Andre Fleury earns the 57th shutout of his career and first on the 2019-20 season.
  • William Karlsson added on an empty-net goal late in his 200th career game.

Wednesday, April 8 – Vegas Golden Knights at Nashville Predators (Nov. 27, 2019)

  • With 0.3 seconds remaining in Nashville, Max Pacioretty scored the latest goal in franchise history.
  • Paul Stastny scored 1:52 into overtime to send the Golden Knights past the Predators.
  • Stastny’s game winner was his 700th NHL point.

 Thursday, April 9 – Vegas Golden Knights vs. St. Louis Blues (Jan. 4, 2020)

  • The Golden Knights came back from a three-goal deficit to beat the reigning Stanley Cup Champs.
  • Vegas got goals in regulation from Ryan Reaves, Paul Stastny, Nicolas Roy and Reilly Smith to force overtime.
  • Chandler Stephenson completed the comeback with his breakaway tally to beat Jake Allen and the St. Louis Blues.

 Friday, April 10 – Vegas Golden Knights at Ottawa Senators (Jan. 16, 2020)

  • Pete DeBoer earned the win in his first game as head coach of the Golden Knights.
  • Paul Stastny put Vegas ahead just 34 seconds into the contest.
  • In his first return to the Canadian Tire Centre, former Senator Mark Stone collected two points (1G, 1A).

 Saturday, April 11 –Vegas Golden Knights vs. St. Louis Blues (Feb. 13, 2020)

  • The Golden Knights defeated the Blues in overtime for the second time during the 2019-20 season.
  • Jonathan Marchessault’s wrister sealed the game-winner.
  • Six different Vegas skaters recorded multi-point games.

 Sunday, April 12 – Vegas Golden Knights vs. Tampa Bay Lightning (Feb. 20, 2020)

  • Martinez notched his first goal as a Golden Knight in his debut with the team and was one of three VGK players to collect two points that night.
  • Ryan Reaves and Max Pacioretty both scored a goal in the first minute of the third period.
  • The fourth win in a row for the Golden Knights halted an 11-game win streak for Tampa.

 Monday, April 13 – Vegas Golden Knights vs. Edmonton Oilers (Feb. 26, 2020)

  • Max Pacioretty collected his 30th goal of the season in the first period.
  • Nick Cousins scored his first goal as a Golden Knight in his debut with the team after being acquired at the trade deadline.
  • A third goal from Shea Theodore ensured the team’s victory and Marc-Andre Fleury held on for the shutout.

Tuesday, April 14 – Vegas Golden Knights at Calgary Flames (March 8, 2020)

  • Tomas Nosek and Nick Holden opened the first period with a 2-0 lead.
  • After the Flames tied the game 3-3 in the third, Shea Theodore netted one to regain the lead.
  • Jonathan Marchessault collected an empty-netter, leading the team to victory with some extra insurance.

Wednesday, April 15 – Vegas Golden Knights at Edmonton Oilers (March 9, 2020)

  • Nicolas Roy tied the game 1-1 in the first period.
  • With the Oilers up one, Reilly Smith set up Jonathan Marchessault to tie the game 2-2 in the second half of the third period.
  • In the final game before the NHL pause, Shea Theodore scored the game-winning goal for the second game in a row.
