The two USGA championships start at the same time.

Clark County residents may purchase the OB Sports Golf Card during August’s early-bird sale for $99 and after Aug. 31 for $149. Golfers who purchase during August will reap its benefits for a total of 17 months, from August 2009 through Dec. 31, 2010.
WLDC regional competition takes place this weekend
Each year, more than 10,000 competitors attempt to qualify for the RE/MAX World Long Drive Competition Finals, which are set for Oct. 25-30 at the Mesquite (Nev.) Regional Sports and Event Complex. Final qualifiers then compete for a $550,000 purse.
Local qualifying events have already taken place and regional events are currently under way in North America’s 10 regions. The regional format is a double-elimination tournament. Nevada’s regional competition will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Mesquite Regional Sports and Events Complex.
Mesquite has been host site for the international power golf event since 1997.
