Las Vegan Quontez McRath reaches Golden Gloves semifinals
Las Vegas boxer Quontez McRath and Adrian Servin of Team Nevada won quarterfinal bouts Thursday night at the Golden Gloves National Tournament of Champions at LVH.
McGrath and Servin advanced to today’s semifinal round beginning at 6 p.m.
Servin advanced in the 108-pound bracket with a 5-0 decision over Jaire Mack of Knoxville, Tenn. McRath defeated Kenneth Thomas of Indianapolis 4-1 in a 152-pound bout.
Elvis Garcia of Team Nevada was eliminated in the 201-pound bracket by Kansas City’s Cam Awesome.
