Nevada Little League team wins opener in West Regional
Nevada, represented by Mountain Ridge Little League, defeated Utah 11-1 in the opener of the West Regional Tournament on Friday in San Bernardino, Calif. The game was shortened after four innings because of the 10-run rule.
Nevada next plays Arizona at 11 a.m. Sunday. Arizona plays its first game at 8:30 a.m. today against Northern California.
Dillon Jones drove in three runs for Nevada.
