The National Finals Rodeo isn’t a beauty pageant. Contestants aren’t smiling for cameras; they do whatever it takes to win a lot of money and gold buckles representing world championships.
Their expressions during the 10-day rodeo at the Thomas & Mack Center might not be pretty, but winces, grimaces and other facial contortions are worth it if it pays off with a smile at the end.
