UNLV doubles team reaches Mountain Regional final
UNLV’s Ace Matias and Bernard Schoeman won twice Saturday to reach today’s doubles final of the USTA/ITA Mountain Regional Championships at Darling Tennis Center.
The eighth-seeded Rebel duo beat Victor Ouvrard and Fernando Sunago of UNR 8-3 before knocking off No. 5 Andy Bettles and Nathan Sereke of Boise State 8-6 in the semifinals. They face No. 7 Abid Akbar and Marius Cirstea of Idaho in the championship match at 10 a.m.
