The other UNLV scores that counted toward the team total were freshman Avery French’s 5-over 77 and junior Mayko Chwen Wang’s 7-over 79.
The Aztecs hold a one-shot lead over San Jose State, which had a team-total of 6-over 294 and the Aztecs are two shots in front of third-place New Mexico as the Lobos finished at 295. Boise State and Fresno State are tied for fourth heading into today’s second round at 296.
