Rebels’ Willis shares MWC Player of Week honors
UNLV guard Tre’Von Willis was named Mountain West Conference co-Player of the Week on Monday, sharing the award with Brigham Young guard Jimmer Fredette.
Willis led UNLV to wins at New Mexico on Wednesday and over Wyoming at home on Saturday. He averaged 20 points, shooting 66.7 percent (14-for-21) from the field, including 72.7 percent (8-for-11) from 3-point range.
Willis also averaged 3.5 assists, three rebounds and two steals in the two wins.
