UNLV LEADS AT HALFTIME
UNLV took a 31-27 lead into halftime over Cincinnati. The Rebels were down 25-20 before going on a six-point run, capped by Rene Rougeau’s reverse layup for the one-point lead with 4:11 left. His follow with 17 seconds left gave the Rebels their halftime edge.
The Rebels opened the game ahead 7-0 before the Bearcats answered with a matching run.

UNLV struggled against California’s shut-down defense on Friday, but answered with a strong first-half defensive effort against Cincinnati. The Rebels held the Bearcats to 36.7 percent shooting.
EVEN ALL AROUND
No one dominated offensively for UNLV. Tre’Von Willis led with seven points, and Darris Santee and Rougeau each had six. Wink Adams, who led the Rebels with 15.2 points per game entering this one, had just four points, but grabbed a game-high seven rebounds.
