Christopher Lawrence escaped his native Kentucky without an accent thanks to the thousands of hours he spent in front of a television as a child. He’s been writing about TV and movies since his days at Murray State University, when the school’s basketball coach had him reassigned at the student newspaper after just one story about the team. He’s been a professional TV critic since 2000, the Review-Journal’s TV critic since 2005 and its movie critic since 2012.
