Garbage truck takes off without driver, wipes out cars — VIDEO

Surveillance footage from a Pennsylvania woman's home caught a runaway garbage truck taking out the neighbors' cars as the worker chased it.

The driver stepped out of the truck to talk to his supervisor, ABC News reported, but the brakes "disengaged." The truck, with no one behind the wheel, began to roll down the street hitting five cars along the way.

Lisa Ferguson, whose camera caught the incident, said she was out thousands of dollars because of the crash.

"We are investigating the cause of the accident, and are thankful everyone involved is unharmed," waste Management in Ambridge, Penn., said in a statement. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank the first responders for their assistance."

No injuries were reported. Check out the video of the incident below.
