Inspirada offers Wellness Wednesdays

Inspirada, a Henderson master-planned community, continues to demonstrate its commitment to the health and happiness of its residents with a robust community lineup of activities, including Wellness Wednesdays health classes in partnership with Dignity Health-St. Rose Dominican.

The series launched this year, inviting residents and the public to participate in monthly classes, featuring all things health and well-being. Most of the classes are free for residents and neighboring community members and highlight valuable topics, including nutrition, heart heath, diet, new parenting tips and fitness.

“Through a collaborative effort with Dignity-Health-St. Rose Dominican, we take great care in determining topics that appeal to our residents, who range from young families with children to empty-nesters,” said Marianne Wojciechowicz, lifestyle director at Inspirada. “Wellness Wednesdays is just one activity that supports the active and healthy lifestyles we advocate at Inspirada. They go hand-in-hand with other popular resident amenities such as our four parks that offer the perfect atmosphere for sports, walking and jogging, playing with four-legged friends and exploring the beauty of nature just outside their front doors.” On July 20, the featured topic will be child obesity, in observance of Child Obesity Month. The family-friendly session will discuss various ways to implement lifestyle changes to prevent children from obesity.

Additional Wellness Wednesdays sessions include tips on packing healthy school lunches Aug. 24; a six-week Stanford Series program, featuring an expert from Stanford School of Medicine’s Chronic Disease Self-Management Program beginning Sept. 21; and a diabetes lecture sharing fundamental self-management tools for those with diabetes Nov. 16. In addition to its 85-acre system of parks, trails and open spaces, Inspirada is the gateway to Sloan Canyon National Recreation Area that includes more than 1,700 petroglyphs.

There are more than 66 model homes ready to tour in 17 new Inspirada neighborhoods featuring one-, two- and three-story single-family homes and townhomes designed for every lifestyle and ranging in price from the high $100,000s to $500,000s. The builders of Inspirada include Beazer Homes, Century Communities, KB Home, Pardee Homes and Toll Brothers.

With a projected build-out of 8,500 homes, Inspirada is home to more than 2,500 residents who have access to programs and activities managed by a full-time staff that create social calendars to bring neighbors together in the parks and the Inspirada Community Center.
