Ford Motor Company presented a very impressive display of automobile equipment during the recent Specialty Equipment Manufacturing Association show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Among the vehicles highlighted was the 2015 Edge Sport utility vehicle, also featured at Friendly Ford at 660 N. Decatur Blvd.
Newly designed for 2015, the Edge Sport's power package of a 2.7 twin turbo-charged V-6 engine generates 325 horsepower. With excellent gas mileage ratings of up to 18 city and 27 highway, the Edge Sport has the power, the economy and the design to place it at the top of the list when it comes to perfect packages.
The sport-tuned suspension in the Edge Sport provides tight handling, agility and stability. Another touch of class on the Edge Sport is the addition of 20-inch aluminum with magnetic low gloss-painted pocket wheels.
The Sport Edge is a step up with unique wheels and unique interior.
Considered the luxury edition of the sport utility vehicle industry, the Edge Sport gets positive nods because it is impressive looking and it performs perfectly.
In the case of the SEMA show, Ford definitely did its homework with a very balanced and impressive showing of its participation in auto racing along with its overall complete dedication to the automobile industry.
Placed perfectly in the middle of an action-packed series of films, the 2015 Edge Sport received immense attention. The fact that the vehicle was baby blue placed atop baby blue carpet was yet another example of Ford's impressive marketing abilities.
The Edge Sport is selling well at Friendly Ford. With the complete package offered on the Edge Sport, response has been good, according to staff members of the dealership.
"The fact that the engine is turbo is huge, especially the torque," said dealership sales consultant Tony Najera, who has been with Friendly Ford for almost four years. "You have all of the technology that includes adaptive cruise control and cross traffic to warn you of oncoming traffic.
"In addition, people love the fact that it has the largest moon roof of its segment. It is considered a crossover vehicle, so it is available with intelligent all-wheel drive, and that is a big deal for those people who like to travel the mountains in the wintertime."
