Chapman has cars that appeal to millennials

Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram reports in a study released late May from online loan exchange Lending Tree that the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger are among two of the top-10 vehicles for millennial car shoppers.

An analysis shows that the share of auto loan requests from millennials, those ages 18 to 34, has increased from about 27 percent in early 2013 to approximately 34 percent in 2016. Also, auto loan applications among the millennial generation are on the rise, according to the report.

“With low interest rates and gas prices, auto loan requests from millennials are on the rise,” said Don Hamrick, general manager of Chapman Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram. “It’s telling that the Dodge Charger is at the top of the list for millennial car shoppers. With our extensive inventory and trim level options, we have seen a great deal of millennial buyers.”

With an affordable price point, the Dodge Charger and Challenger appeal to a varying age range of millennials, no matter the stage of life they’re in. Considered a “muscle car the whole family can enjoy,” both boast plentiful power and decent fuel economy. The spacious cabin, improvements in ride quality and interior design also contribute to the overall appeal.

It’s more than the Dodge Charger and Challenger appealing to millennials: The Jeep product is also a hit among this population.

“As popular as our Dodge products are, I can tell you that our Jeep product is a millennial favorite as well,” Hamrick said. “This demo is all about function and personalization, and with our expert custom and service teams at Chapman Chrysler Jeep, we know a thing or two about customization of vehicles. It’s a way of life for us, and the millennial customer knows that.”
