2017 F-250 Super Duty gets big attention at Friendly Ford

When it comes to designing, engineering and selling trucks, Ford Motor Co. has an impressive track record.

Look no further than the 2017 F-250 Super Duty now available at Friendly Ford, where the latest version is considered the toughest Super Duty body ever with high-strength, military-grade aluminum alloy.

In fact, the Super Duty has been tabbed as “the toughest, smartest and most capable ever” in brochures provided by Ford. Among the other improvements in the new Super Duty are new four-channel brake controls on Super Duty chassis cab DRW models that allow for the addition of AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control.

Available power plants in the new Super Duty include the 6.7-Liter Power Stroke Turbo Diesel, the 6.2L V8 gas or 6.8L V10 gas (chassis cab only) engine.

The Super Duty cabs include the Regular, SuperCab and Crew and the extensive interior components include trailer brake controller switch that is now closer to the driver, steering wheel controls that feature large, easier-to-use buttons along with all-new Sync3, the next generation of voice-activated technology that includes a capacitive touch screen with convenient swipe feature and pinch-to-zoom capability within navigation.

Ford also reduced the weight of the truck by up to 350 pounds while concentrating its efforts on using the money saved by transferring it into the frame, leaf springs, trailer hitch, rear axle, transfer case and more.

The truck has been fortified with strengthened frames and beefed-up axles along with improved upfit (commercial upgrades) capability. It sits on the strongest Super Duty frame ever with 95 percent high-strength steel.

While Ford was readying delivery of the redesigned Super Duty, Friendly Ford customers were already submitting deposits in what was nothing less than a huge buzz to get the country’s best truck.

The 2017 Super Duty has been hailed by various publications for many reasons including its maximum payload. It has the highest max towing capability of any Super Duty, and it has new four-channel brake controls on the Super Duty Chassis Cab DRW models that allow for the addition of AdvanceTrac with roll stability control.

Friendly Ford Sales Manager Ted Pentecost, a former law enforcement officer from Helena, Montana, said the 2017 F-250 Super Duty is multifaceted and perfect for everything from construction work to hunting and fishing or towing.

“I grew up with trucks in Montana where it’s all trucks and sport utility vehicles,” Pentecost said. “Ford is the No. 1 brand. It’s unbeatable.”

Better yet, the 2017 Ford Super Duty has been named Motor Trend’s Truck of the Year.

Located at 660 N. Decatur Blvd., Friendly Ford opened in 1970. The dealership is a 17-time winner of the President’s Award, Ford’s highest single honor for customer satisfaction.
