Allegiant to launch more nonstop flights from Las Vegas

Allegiant Air will launch a nonstop flight from Las Vegas to Louisville, Kentucky, this fall, along with a second nonstop route connecting airports in Austin, Texas, and Columbus, Ohio, in winter, airline officials will announce Thursday.

Through Friday, one-way fares for both of the new routes will start at $54 for travel through May 15, Allegiant officials said.

The Las Vegas-based budget carrier will launch two weekly, round-trip flights between McCarran International Airport and Louisville International Airport beginning Nov. 16 on Thursdays and Sundays.

Allegiant will also launch two weekly flights between Austin and Columbus beginning Feb. 16 , also on Thursdays and Sundays.

“With the addition of these two new routes, we’ll be able to offer some great, low-cost travel options with convenient nonstop service from the Midwest to fabulous Las Vegas and Austin, the live music capital of the world,” Lukas Johnson, Allegiant’s senior vice president of commercial, said in a statement.
