Updated August 27, 2017 - 8:30 pm

Two people were hospitalized Sunday morning after a crash in the northeastern valley.

Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the intersection of East Craig Road and Nellis Boulevard just before 8:20 a.m., where two cars collided. Both drivers were taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit with internal injuries, but the drivers’ condition is unknown, police said.

One driver was found to be at fault and was cited for driving under the influence, Metro Lt. Grant Rogers said.

The Nevada Department of Transportation tweeted at 11:25 a.m. that the incident was clear.
