Man hospitalized after road-rage shooting in North Las Vegas

Updated September 20, 2017 - 6:12 pm

A man was hospitalized after a road rage-related shooting Wednesday in North Las Vegas, police said.

North Las Vegas Police Department received a call of a crash about 1:50 p.m. at Cheyenne Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard, spokesman Aaron Patty said. One involved car left, and another followed. The drivers, both men, got out of the cars near Colton Avenue and Revere Street and shot at each other, police said.

One driver was shot and taken to University Medical Center. Patty said he was expected to survive.

Patty said everyone involved was in custody.

“We have the pieces of the puzzle,” he said. “It’s just a matter of putting them together at this time.”

It wasn’t clear whether the two men were cooperating with police, or whether the man shot was the driver who initially fled the crash scene or the driver who followed.
