Windows broken by Las Vegas Strip gunman now covered
The windows used by the Las Vegas Strip gunman in Sunday night’s massacre have been covered.
The attacker, identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, of Mesquite, broke two windows on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay and unleashed a 10-minute barrage of bullets at the Route 91 Harvest music festival across the street.
Fifty-eight people were killed and nearly 500 were injured in the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.
Photos after the attack showed curtains or drapes billowing out the windows, but as of Friday afternoon, the windows had been covered. Viewed from Las Vegas Boulevard, it was unclear whether workers had used plywood or another type of covering.
Representatives of Mandalay Bay owner MGM Resorts International did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
